Our Summer Writing Challenge 2026 has closed for submissions and the publication is out now! Click on the cover image to read the amazing writing by YWC members on the themes of ‘Gothic/Horror’ and ‘Who Am I?’

In September 2026 we will be opening up suggestions for the theme for the next edition and all members will be invited to vote on their favourite idea.

The theme will run across the Autumn term and there will be lots of ways for YWC members to get involved with the new theme including:

• Submitting writing or art for the theme, to be published in the next anthology

• Attending a creative writing workshop in-person - this will be part of Shoreham Wordfest and you can book your free place here

• Exclusive access to a digital masterclass

• Writing a guest editorial introduction to the theme

• Opportunity to become a paid workshop assistant and help plan and lead the next workshop

We will email you (and/or your parent/carer) each time there is something new to get involved with, so keep an eye on your inbox!
